Who will be the fastest man in Missouri? Raymond Wingo looks to add another 100 title to his household as his brother, Ronnie, won the 100 dash back in 2009 in a quick 10.59. Raymond made a name for himself, running 10.64 in Illinois in early April. He comes in with the top time from sectionals with a 10.67 clocking, two one hundredths faster than Roy Bay. Bay has been a force in this event for two years now. He ran a quick 10.58 last year at Sectionals, but wasn’t at full strength at state. Still Bay managed a fourth place finish with a 10.83 showing. This year he is back for a title. He was second in Kansas Relays only behind the Nebraska State Champ, Kenzo Cotton. He got a little help from the wind at districts running his best 10.46 before adding another victory at sectionals. They will have to deal with returning runner-up, Jamal Robinson. Headed to Eastern Illinois, a strong sprint program, Robinson looks to add a gold medal after coming second to Jehu Chesson last May. Robinson locked up the sectional title running 10.83.
