Preview
Hazelwood Central has been so dominant in this event of the past couple of years, and this year is no different. They bring three men into the field including the top two ranked Matt Quarells and Marcus Davis. Davis was the KU Relays champ in this event, is attempting the 400 and 800 double, coming in with the top mark in the 800. He was fourth at his sectional meet with Quarells taking the victory with a state leading mark of 48.39. Quarells was sixth a year ago will against three other returning All-State finishers including Alex Groesch and Daniel Anderson. Groesch was three tenths of a second behind Quarrels this weekend with Anderson victorious in Sectional 3.
