			Preview

		

			MICDS can produce great 400m runners.  Back in 2011 they pulled off something that possibly no one has ever done before – win the open 400 and 4x400 relay……without the 400m champ on the relay.  In 2012 they put together a squad that finished fourth place and return two of those legs. They clocked in at 4:03.15 at sectionals, the best mark in Class 3, to defeat University City by a little over a second and a half.  The top four have all run between 4:03.15 and 4:04.81, showing this race is up for grabs.  Union, third ranked, features Anna Houston who is currently ranked third in the 300H.  Centralia is in interesting case as they don’t have anyone in the 200, 400, 800 or 300H to suggest being able to run the second fastest time in Class 3, but they have, running 4:03.94 this weekend. Ranked 12th, Cardinal Ritter is in perfect position to surprise a lot of teams. They return all four of their squad that was victorious last year, running 3:56.37 to defeat University City.
