The Program

Program Size:

Cross-country over 30 student-athletes / track and field team should be 60-80 this year

What type of student-athlete does your program recruit?

We are looking for hard-working athletes that are team players and love the sport. We are looking for the team-first attitude. Times are great but that is not the only determiner and we are really looking for student-athletes that fit our program.

What are some recent accomplishments of the program or individuals in the program?

The XC men had two NAIA national qualifiers for the 2011 XC season and the men/women combined had three all-conference performers in my first XC season with the team. The guys were 2nd and ladies were fourth at the HAAC conference championship.

Track and Field - We’ve had 14 student-athletes hit NAIA national marks in my 16 month tenure.

Byron Evans was 9th at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field national Championships in the Triple Jump. Sarah Niemeir and Ignacio Franco were Conference champions in the Indoor 800 in 2013. Sarah was outdoor conference champion in the 800 and 1500 in 2013 and Jon Leonard was conference champion in the 110 hurdles in 2013.

How can the student-athletes contact you to find out more information about your program?

Campus email Christiansonn@moval.edu or office phone which is all listed on our college web-site.
