Preview
The Class 1 Boys 1600 will be a good one. The tables are turned from the 800 where New Haven's Seth Schenck is coming back as the returning champ and top time with Seth Brown the challenger. In the 1600 it is the La Plata junior Brown who is coming back to defend his title and Schenck coming after a second place finish last year with the second fastest time this year. Brown will have to be careful of Scheck's 1:57 800m speed. Other contendors include Linn County's Derek Wilson who placed 4th last year and comes in with the top time from Sectionals as well as freshman phenom Riley Gorhom from Hardin-Central who is coming off a second place finish to Brown at State XC and a blazing new PR of 4:36 at Sectionals.
