Preview

This is setting up to be a close race with 5 runners between 4:21.06 and 4:24.54 this year. Festus' Tyler Gilliam is top returner and is having a great year with a State Title in the fall and a 4:22 and 9:29 this spring. Alex Burson has the top time this year with a 4:21.06. He has also run 1:56.43 in the 800 this year giving him the fastest 800 time in the field. He also was 9th in XC in the fall so he has the strength. Gillam's teammate Karls has a slightly faster time this year with a 4:22.52. His 9:23 3200 and 3rd place cross finish compare him similarly to GIllam. Potosi's Austin King who split the Festus teammates in the fall and has run 4:23.38 this spring. Also watch for Freshman standout Rudy Mcclellen who has already run 4:24.54.
