Kunza, the 2014 Big River Indoor Series Weight Throw champ, had his first crack at the event for the 2015 campaign this past weekend. He threw the weight nearly 60 feet, almost a foot further than he threw a year before at this meet (57-9.5). Kunza, who holds the record for the event in Missouri, focuses more on shot put during the outdoor season. His mark this past weekend propels him to 26th in the nation (he finished last year ranked 30th after his throw of 63-2 at the Big River Indoor Series Championship.
