Recently, I had the pleasure to work with many kids outside our high school student body. The handful of kids I believe have benefited from the openness of our offseason training group. I enjoyed the experience of having my kids work with other coaches as part of our summer track and field team. Therefore, it is my belief to give back to other athletes and coaches in a similar fashion. As I blogged previously different coaches working with an athlete can be advantageous if all parties involved don't overstep their bounds. I have seen the benefits from young people training in a more serious training group during different training cycles. Athletes have taken advantage from the use of different prompt, or just simply a fresh pair of coaching eyes to identify a problem that might have been previously invisible to the other coach.
