What were you saying to her during the race? - To just be aware of where she was, to make sure she finished 15th or better and to keep fighting because it was obvious she was hurting, but wouldn't give up that 15th spot
Was there a moment where you communicated something to her that made the difference?
Before the race...I told her it was her senior year and to make sure she qualified, and you could tell by how she ran that she was going to do whatever it took to make that happen
Was her qualifying expected?
she said she didn't expect to qualify...she hoped to but didn't expect it as w were in a much more difficult district this year than the previous.
What was her/his and your reaction when she crossed the line in 15/30th?
She was wiped out...it was the most tired I've seen her look after a race but she was excited to have made it and was relieved to have it behind her!
Now that she/he made it to the big dance what are your goals?
she wants to run a good race and really savor/enjoy her...
