Preseason All-Classes All-State Boy's Triple Jump

    The preseason outlook at the triple jump could be strong. A number of these young men are not only multi-event track and field stars but athletes who have succeeded in multiple sports. A number of our triple jumpers are stars in basketball and football. I believe this dispells the myth of the importance of specialization that seems en vogue now. Another interesting fact is the jump crew is dominated by the Kansas City side. KC tends to be better in the technical events like the jumps. I gotta ask "what's in the water!?"

    Rayvon, our top returner played an important role last year leading his team to major team titles en route to the state championship. Look to him to push the 50-foot threshold during his peak phase this spring.
