Columbia/Jeff City stand up. Wow. The Columbia schools and Jeff City HS took the top 7 spots and 8 of the top 10 in this one with only FZS's Josh Skeeters and Timberland's Nate Petro being the only 2 from eastern MO in the top 10. Two of the runners in our top 10 were not present in the results at all (Deeken missing due to the "state championship" band competition and Nichols MIA though he was seen at the meet...) so we only got Gibbens's win right. 1/10 chronologically and a rough 5/10 overall

South pulled off the narrow victory over West or else we would have gotten all four teams right. Rock Bridge really stepped up in this one - particularly with Hamzah Firozi making a huge jump and taking 2nd overall. We got 3/4 teams right and only 1/4 places.

We will talk a little bit more about the Hickman girls in the coming days, but this was another major shakeup compared to our predictions. We only hit on the winner in this one again and many of our top 10 were different than what actually happened. 1/10 chronologically and 6/10.

District 4 was wild. MileSplit was on site and we can confirm that, in general, Cole County Fairgrounds really took its toll on many of the racers. Thus, Holt and Timberland were able to turn the tables and grab sectional qualifying spots, leapfrogging Jeff City and Hickman. 1/4 places, 2/4 overall.
