Introducing Your New Webmaster

Hello Missouri, my name is Ryan Taylor and I will be taking over as the Editor/Webmaster for MoMilesplit on January 1st. First off I'd like to thank Kyle Deeken for the amazing job he's done growing the site, and I look to continue to build upon the strong foundation that he has left for me.

I grew up in Neosho, Missouri and graduated from Neosho High School in 2013. I started running Track when I was in 8th grade and I instantly fell in love with the sport. I went on to run all 4 years of high school running in every event throughout my career except for the 110mH and 3200m, but specializing in the 400m. I had a fair amount of success winning 2 District Championships (400m, 4x200m), along with multiple All-COC, All-District, and All-Sectional performance culminating in 2 State berths and a school record my Senior year. After graduation I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to continue running at Maryville University in St. Louis which I did for two years before hanging up my spikes.

(You may notice the guy in the white hat as former Webmaster Kyle Deeken)

I'm currently coaching Track and Cross Country at Francis Howell High School in St. Charles, and it has been the greatest experience of my young life. I coach Mid-Distance, Distance, and Long Jump for the Vikings and seeing my kids achieve their goals in those events has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Coaching and being a part of the family we have at the H has been a dream come true.

My love and passion for this sport runs deep, and I really look forward to channeling that passion into making this site something all of you can be proud of. I can't wait to get to know you all through this job, and help do my small part in growing our sport in Missouri. Feel free to come say hello to me at meets, I'll be the guy by the finish line in Blue with 2 stop watches and a camera around my neck while juggling several inhalers from my athletes

As a way for you guys to get to know me better, I'd like to do a Q&A. So if you'll send what questions you have about me, MoMilesplit, or running please email them to AskMoMilesplit@gmail.com and I'll post my responses in an Article next week! I'd like to do this often as a way to connect with you guys in a new way. I'm really looking forward to getting started and helping MoMilesplit continue to grow.

Thanks for Reading.
