Races to Watch:
The 100m is shaping up to be pretty close. Grace Schottel and Kirstian Goddard will be battling for the title as they are only separated by two hundredths of a second. Abbie Hale should place 3rd, with Malia Collins and Gretchen Raney battling for the final spot.
The 200 is very close as well with Grace Schottel, Malia Collins, Victoria Nauman, Peyton Gage, Gretchen Raney, and Ciara Davies all within a second of each other.
As you would expect the 400 is the exact same way. Grace Schottel and Halley Wilmes should qualify rather easily but Peyton Gage, Marilyn Farmer, Shae Gilbert, and Malia Collins are all fighting for the last 2 spots and are separated by just a few tenths.
High Jump is also setting up to be close. In what is hands down the best High Jump District in Class 1 (and arguably the entire state) Marissa Jensen and Brooklyn Miller are way out in front at 5-6 and 5-5, while Alexia Sweiger stands at 5-1 in third. Alaina Officer, Anna Gladstone, Faith Steven, Lexie Smither, and Mackenzie Finney will all be fighting to qualify as well as they all have season bests of 5-0.
