Class 3's Top Long Jumpers to Watch in 2019

There are nine returning State Qualifiers in the Class 3 Boys Long Jump, including five State Medalists.

The competition looks to be fierce this year with last years 2nd-5th place finisher returning and were all within 2.75 inches of each other at State last year. Joshua Hopkins of Lutheran North has the biggest returning leap from last year with a 23-3. Just behind him is Peyton Davis with a 23-1, then Rasheed Ricketts with a 22-5.5, Gavin Hutson with a 22-5, and Isaiah Williams with a 22-3.5. Either one of those returning medalists could win it, and it'll be exciting to watch. Below you can find my subjective rankings in the Class 3 Boys Long Jump.

1. Joshua Hopkins - Lutheran North

2. Peyton Davis - Centralia

3. Rasheed Ricketts - Cardinal Ritter

4. Isaiah Williams - Trinity Catholic

5. Gavin Hutson - Kelly

6. Tyler Recker - St. James

7. Keven Lomax, Jr. - Cardinal Ritter

8. Derrick Miller - John Burroughs
