The 100m doesn't really have a clear favorite, but Ethan Brockway (Northland Christian) enters with fastest time at 11.28 from his first meet of the season. He ran 11.38 at District for his second fastest time, which leaves Cameron Jones (Pattonsburg), Zakhary Taylor (Marion C. Gage Mcadams (Tarkio) should win the Pole Vault, as he enters with a season best vault of 15-3. He currently holds the Class 1 State Meet record with his championship vault last year of 15-00.25, and he will look to break it again this weeekend.
Shot Put looks to be a three man battle. Hayden Elifrits (South Holt) enters with the best mark with a 48-10.25, followed by Colton Wilmes (Northeast Nodaway), and Logan Miller (Knox County) who have both thrown 48-8 and 48-5.25 respectively.
Clifton Bridgewater (Rich Hill) enters with a season best of 184-2, and will look to break the state meet record this weekend. The Class 1 record stands at 167-9, and he'll look to try and break that with a championship throw this weekend.
Pattonsburg has the edge in the virtual meet, winning with a score of 46.5 points. Mound City and Princeton enter tied for second at 36 points, and Rich Hill is 4th with 34 points. However there are an additional 8 schools within 10 points of forth place, so the hunt for the final trophy should be exciting.
