The Missouri running community has been shaken to its core with the recent news of the passing of all-time great photographer and contributor, Kansas City native Greg Hall.
For the past several decades, Greg has been a fixture in the local papers and, more recently, as a member of the Missouri MileSplit coverage team, providing memorable photographs and passionate feature articles highlighting everything that makes Missouri cross country and track and field so great.
It is impossible to put a price-tag on his knack for not only capturing the essence of cross country and track and field, but also living it. The announcement on social media has already brought with it countless comments on the impact that Greg had on the lives of so many fans and athletes across both Missouri and Kansas. Throughout it all, of course, Greg did it with the biggest smile and warmest demeanor, one that drew you in as a friend and connected so many together in camaraderie over one of the most demanding sports around.
Greg and his contributions to the sport will be dearly missed. Lucky for all of us, his photos and articles will live on forever on our site and in the archives of those to whom he contributed.
To honor the man, let's play the hits! Take a look back at all of the amazing things he contributed to our site for our coaches and athletes.
