Missouri Track's Top Returning Girls Sprinters in 2021


We are only just a couple of weeks away from the first official outdoor track meets since the 2019 season, and we couldn't be more excited to get things going. Today we will be taking a brief look at the top returning girls sprinters heading into the 2021 season. 

The top 100m runners heading into the season include Kinsey Fiedler (Lee's Summit North) who has ran 12.04, Kayelyn Tate (Parkway Central) who has ran 12.10, and Jazmen Newberry (Staley) and Amani Jones (Francis Howell North) who have ran 12.16. The 100m is likely to be the event with the most growth and surprises so be sure to keep you eyes on the rankings as the year progresses.

The top returning runners for the 200m include Kayelyn Tate (Parkway Central) who has ran 24.44, Caleia Johnson (Park Hill) at 24.80, Marshaun Bostic (Gateway) at 25.03, and Hadley Jetmore (Pembroke Hill) and Lauren North (St. Teresa's) at 25.06 and 25.07 respectively.

The 400m will feature top returners including Cheyenne Melvin (STEAM) who has a PR lof 57.12, Caleia Johnson (Park Hill) at 57.34, Hadley Jetmore (Pembroke Hill) with a 57.70, Lauren North (St. Teresa's) at 57.83, and Haley Luna (Platte County) at 57.97.
