Missouri Track's Top Returning Boys Throwers


Today we dive into the field events with a look at the top returning boys throwers in 2021. Starting this year, MSHSAA has decided to move all field event marks to metric, so be prepared to see some new looking numbers in the field!

The top returning boys discus thrower heading into 2021 is Derek Tucker (Lebanon) who comes into the season with throw of 48.92m. He followed by Ben Cox (Pleasant Hill) at 48.51m, Weston King (Palmyra) at 47.65m, Joshua Henderson (Fayette) at 46.91m, and Connor Tollison (Jackson) at 46.46m.

Marshall Swadley (Willard) comes into the season as the top overall returner in the boys shot put with a throw of 15.91m. Donald Brown (Raytown) is second with a throw of 15.04m, followed by Hayden Elifrits (South Holt) at 14.89m, and Domonique Orange (North Kansas City) at 14.89m.

Malcom Harvey (Trinity Catholic) is the top returning Javelin thrower to enter the season with a season best of 56.29m. He's followed very closely by Clifton Bridgewater (Rich Hill) at 56.13m, then John Clubine (Hannibal) at 53.57m, Julian Juszczyk (Trinity Catholic) at 52.07m, and Mason Brock (Francis Howell) at 51.46m.
