2021 Missouri Class 3 State Track Championships Recap


The Ste. Genevieve girls picked up the Class 3 State Championship with what turned out to be a very close race. They won with 38 points, Blair Oaks was second with 37, Southern Boone was third with 33, and Pleasant Hill was fourth with 32.

Megan Aubuchon led the way, earning state titles in both the 100H and 300H. She was also fifth in high jump, and anchored their eighth place 4x400m team along with Jaden Wehner, Marysa Flieg, and Maci Reynolds. Flieg also brought home an individual state title in the javelin, while Maci Reynolds took seventh place in the 100H and eighth place in the 300H to wrap up the scoring for the champions.

The El Dorado Springs boys pulled out a close victory for the Class 3 Boys State Championship with 43 points. MICDS was second with 42 points, Centralia was third with 41 points, and Lutheran (St. Charles) was fourth with 38 points.

Daelen Ackley lead the way for the Bulldogs, winning the distance treble with state titles in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m which were also very close finishes. He also anchored their sixth place 4x800m team alongside Lunden Messick, Brice Knoll, and Connor Goatley. Collin Hunter also brought home an individual state championship in the pole vault to wrap up the scoring for the winners.



Jonathan Cox (Pleasant Hill) also wrapped a great season, throwing for a new Class 3 state meet record in the Javelin with a throw of 54.19m to earn the individual state championship.
