With potential bad weather on the radar, the Liberty North Invitational was pushed up from April 23 to April 22.
The field featured 10 teams, mostly from the Kansas City area, but Marshall made the trip from Mid-Missouri. The weather cooperated on Friday
There were 20 'elite' performances, 11 on the boys side and nine from the girls.
The throwing events accounted for most of the boys' top performances. In discus, Smithville's Jayce Farell won with 52.94 meters, while Staley's Brennan Boord (50.88) and Kearney's Zach Grace (50.28) also hit the elite marks. Farrell also won the shot put (16.14) and teammate Lucas Trotter threw 16 meters.
