Benton senior Kason Mauzey and Parkway Central senior Devon Walker appear to be tied for the lead after clearing a hurdle in the Class 4 Boys prelims. Mauzey would win the heat in 15.11 while Walker was 2nd in 15.17, running into a 1.7 meter-per-second wind. Walker placed 3rd and Mauzey 5th in the final the following day in 14.77 and 15.06-seconds.



Kearney's Luke Noland (left) and Smithville's Rhett Foster run to a 1-2 finish in the Class 4 110-meter hurlde prelims in 14.61 and 14.65-seconds. In the final the next day, the pair went 1-2 with Noland edging Foster for the title, 14.35 to 14.37-seconds.




Taking Flight

Kearney senior K.J. Smith hovers above the ring as he releases the discus on his way to a 3rd-place finish in Class 4 with a best toss of 52.45m/172-1'', scoring 6 points and helping the Bulldogs to the team title.



Returning Speed

(Left to Right) Camdenton junior Angel Dickerson, Grandview sophomore Griouard Weddington, and West Plains junior Heston Miller go 1-2-3 in heat #1 of the Class 4 200-meter dash prelims in 21.98, 21.98, and 22.39, running into a 1.3-meter-per-second wind. In the final the following day with a 2.3 m/second tailwind, Dickerson won in 21.20, Washington was 3rd in 21.53, and Miller was 5th in 21.95-seconds. All three will return to compete next year as none are seniors.
