St. Michael the Archangel dominated the Class 3 District 4 meet held on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Platte Ridge Park in Platte City.
The Lee's Summit school had both the winning runners in the races to move on to the state meet.
The boys had a 1-2 finish and had three of the top five finishers. Senior Sam Rosenberg won, followed by Johnny Joyce in second and Xavier Collins in fifth.
Returning all-stater Elsa Henry won by more than a minute in her race. It was her eighth win of the year and the third in a row this season.
