Coverage from 2022 MSHSAA Class 4 District 4 XC meet



Running on their home course, the Kearney Bulldogs' pack mentality led to a district title at the Class 4 District 4 meet held on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Jesse James Park in Kearney. 

The Kearney girls finished in order, 5th to 10th, but did so without all-state runner Alex Kinstler. Abby Elam, a senior, led the way running 20:49.46. Harrisonville's Kayleigh Norris won the race, holding off Platte County's Sisely Mitchell

Platte County and Smithville accounted for four of the top five on the boys side. 

Platte County's Andrew Johnson had nearly a 30-second margin of win, while teammate Kade Meinke was fourth. Smithville's Liam Adair was third and teammate Asa Kellner took fifth. Platte County was first in the team standings, while Smithville took second.
