Lauren Lewis, Kashlee Dickinson, Abigail Elmore and Royaltee Brown
The Texas Tech Under Armour HS Classic is always a phenomenal event and this weekend shouldn't be any different. There are many Texas teams and athletes who will compete for state leadership. Adding to the competitive level of the meet will be athletes and teams from Washington DC, the Bahamas, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
Here are just a few names you'll want to watch out for.

Kashlee Dickinson clears a bar at the MAC Vault Summer National Championships
Kashlee Dickinson (Canyon, TX)
Dickinson is only a junior, but she already has a state championship and a runner-up in her premiere event. The Canyon pole vaulter isn't just one of the UIL 4A classification's best vaulters, but she is also one of the best in the entire state with her 13-0 PR.
Indya Mayberry (Fort Worth, TX)
Mayberry is one heck of an athlete. The freshman is the top sprinter in Texas and the No. 6 sprinter in the country. The former youth age group star ran 7.43 in the 60m last weekend to win the Arkansas HS Inv. and 24.13 in the 200m.
Mackenzie Dagrosa (San Antonio Reagan, TX)
Dagrosa has 5-9 jump on record this season from the LSU High School Classic. That's good enough to be tied for the No. 2 best jump nationally this season. This weekend, it could take a higher bar to win and Dagrosa isn't one to back down from challenges.
Lauren Lewis finishes for the win at the 2021 UIL 6A state meet
Lauren Lewis (Prosper, TX)
University of Texas commit, Lewis gets her first action of the season. The UIL 6A 400m champion will line up in both the 200m and the 400m.
India Alix (Klein, TX)
Alix is the nation's top long and triple jumper. Her 20-11.75 and 42-6 jumps brom back in December were enormous and she added 19-11 and 40-00 jumps to her resume last weekend at Carl Lewis.
Madeleine Fey (Midlothian, TX)
Fey set a meet record last weekend in Arkansas with a 45-1.75 throw. That is an indoor PR for Fey and is the US No. 5 best toss this season. She'll have an even better field to compete with this weekend and balls could really fly far in Lubbock.
Royaltee Brown celebrates after a win
Royaltee Brown (Dallas Skyline, TX)
Don't play with royalty. Royaltee Brown has her crown on from last week's meet when she won the Carl Lewis Inv. last weekend in both the 60m and the 200m Her times of 7.47 and 24.18 are close to Mayberry's and with them at the same meet things could get explosive this weekend.
Claire Lowrey (Rockwall, TX)
Dagrosa isn't the only high flyer in the girls high jump this weekend, there are a couple of excellent jumpers who cleared 6-0 last year. Lowery was the UIL 6A state meet runner-up and will be delighted to participate in what will be a fantastic event.
Haley Harper (Plano West, TX)
The University of Texas commit ran her first indoor track meet last weekend at the Arkansas HS Inv. when she ran the 3,000m She produced a 10:01 thanks to a strong and consistent pace. She is currently ranked US No. 9.
Abigail Elmore competes at Texas' Greatest Athlete
Abigail Elmore (Gunter, TX)
Elmore, the Gunter junior is entered in several events this weekend (nothing new to her) as she is a multi event recruit, but the event to watch out for is the high jump. We've already mentioned a couple of big time jumpers in this event, but don't overlook Elmore. She jumped a facility record last weekend in Arkansas with her 5-7.25 winning jump that has her just outside the top 10 national rankings.
Maggie Bookout (OKC Storm Home School, OK)
Bookout is an University of Oklahoma commit....it's a family affair, but so is throwing far. She had good throws here last year as well as last weekend in Arkansas. Look for her to want to improve on her 42-0.75 best from last week.
Janey Campbell (Katy Seven Lakes, TX)
There is nothing more scary than a pissed off and motivated thrower. That could be Campbell's motivation after last weekend's performance that may have been less than what she wanted. Campbell won the LSU meet two weeks ago with a PR and US No.7 44-3 toss.
