The cross-country season is off to the races and with a new season comes new standout performances.
Below are the top girls performances from the past week around Missouri. The winner will be crowned the Missouri Boys Runner of the Week for Sept. 3-9.
Polling starts on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 1:30 p.m. CT and ends on Friday at 1 p.m.

Abigail Osborn, South ShelbyThe only girl running for the Cardinals this fall, the junior picked up her first-ever high school win at the Highland Cougars Charge on Sept. 5.
Mary McKenzie, Cor Jesu AcademyA Class 5 all-stater last year, McKenzie took first place in the Green Division at the Forest Park XC Festival on Saturday in St. Louis. She had a winning time of 18:43.70, nearly a 40-second winning margin.
Seri King, West Plains The Zizzers almost had a perfect score at the Steve Waggoner Invitational on Sept. 7 with a tally of 16 points. The sophomore led the team with a winning time of 21:16.81 for a race held at Willow Springs Municipal Golf Course.
Falyn Davidson, Winfield In her third race in high school, the freshman picked up her first win by running 22:08.09 to take first place at the Palmyra Invitational on Saturday. In her first two races, she was 26th and then 4th.
