Crowder College is growing again, adding distance track and field during the Dec. 4 board of trustee meeting.
Coach Jake Holt, who runs the cross country program, will also guide the track and field program. Last year, the college in Neosho competed as a 'track club' during meets in the winter and spring
The former head coach of track and cross country at East Newton, said this will provide more opportunities for not only the athletes on the roster this spring.
Athletes could compete in races from the 800-meter run up to the 10,000-meter run.
The Roughriders will compete in Division I of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Holt sat down with us and talked about the addition to the school.
