Eagle's Final Flight Home

Bulldog Paw Hi-Fives
El Dorado Springs coach Brian Goatley shares hi-fives with his team after their runner-up finish in the Class 3 Boys race. The Bulldogs scored 114 points, just 2 points behind champion St. Michael the Archangel and their 112 total in the super competitive race where Centralia totaled 133 for 3rd and Herculaneum was 4th with 139.

Catching the Car
Lincoln College Prep senior Isaac Rivera seemed like he nearly caught the lead vehicle the entire 2023 Class 4 Boys race en route to dominating the race and claiming the state title in 14:54.6 for a 16 second victory. His clocking was only outdone by the three-man battle in the Class 5 race, which saw the course record go down by two boys and reset with a best of 14:51.

Rivera led his Tigers to the 3rd place trophy before going on to earn 2nd-team NXR All-Region honors a week later in Indiana. He hen qualified for Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego with a Top-10 Midwest Regional finish in Wisconsin in Late November to earn a trip to nationals in San Diego.
