The calendar has turned to May and the State series is upon us for Classes 1-3. The competition is officially starting to heat up and we are hopeful that the rain stays away from here on out.
As we get further into the season, we are still looking for athletes who have not been featured as nominees yet, which is difficult when so many Missourians are putting together the top marks in their respective events week in and week out. So here are five nominees from the week of 4/28-5/3.
Voting ends May 9th at 12:00pm.

Shout out to last week's winner: Tomas Gonzalez - Blair Oaks. Gonzalez shattered a 34-year-old pole vault meet record at the Nix Relays at Washington on Wednesday by a foot and a half, clearing 16 feet for the first time in his illustrious career (4.88m). The mark put Gonzalez 2nd on the state performance list and tied him for 50th in the US. He will move on to the end-of-season poll to see who was the Performer of the Year!
