The 2025 MSHSAA State XC Championships are upon us and over the next few days, we will be rolling out a bevy of content to get your prepared for one of the fastest championships the State has ever seen.
We poured over the historical data to highlight the 79 State qualifying teams on the Girls side, including their coach's name (according to MSHSAA), how many times they have made it to State as a team, how many consecutive years they have qualified (or the last year they did if that is not applicable), their highest finish, and how many State trophies their team has earned. Technically, even though Class 1 will only feature 15 teams, there will be 80 teams with 5 runners on the line this weekend as Lafayette (Wildwood) qualified 5 individuals, but finished 5th as a team at their District meet.
It truly is a mixture of some of the state's all-time great programs, some teams who have been right in the mix for a number of years, and teams who have never experienced the team podium or may be experiencing the State meet for the first time. It should be an exciting two days!
