Our Athlete Profiles continue this week with Blake Goodin from Princeton High School. Blake took home the individual title in the 800, 1600 & 3200 and had a very impressive outing at the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic.
Only a sophmore, Blake became only the 5th boy to defend his 1600 & 3200 meter state titles, something he acheived only moments after Caleb Hoover became the 4th. Blake also added an 800 meter state championship to his already impressive resume.
This past weekend Blake competed againts boys in a 10 state region in the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic and finished in 6th place in the 1500 meters. I slowed Blake down long enough to talk about being a state champion, traveling to New Mexico and even playing football for a small school.
