The journey to the 2011 Missouri High School Track and Field Championship has begun in Class 1 & 2. Missouri MileSplit has all the results and highlights from across the state.

Class 1 Highlights
Valle Catholic Girls and Boys easily win District 1 in their return to Class 1.
In District 3 the hosts from Midway take home district titles for both the boys and girls.
In District 6 Blake Goodin wins the 800, 1600, 3200 and his team wins the 4x800 relay in route to a district title.
Alexa Taff and St. Joseph Christian adds to her resume to district titles by winning the 100, 200 & 400 meter dashes and as a member of the 4x200 as the St. Joseph girls cruise to a district title.
Class 2 Highlights
Brandon Shemonia (Scott City) and Kaitlyn Fischer (Herculaneum) both win the 800, 1600 & 3200 helping their teams to District 1 team titles. Jennifer Nicholson of East Prairie High School also recorded a current Missouri #1 throw of 151-10 in the Discuss.

In District 8 action future Kansas Jayhawk, Lindsay Vollmer collected another 4 District titles in the 100 & 300 Hurdles as well as the High Jump and Long Jump but in the girls from Trenton took home the team title.
