4x100 Meter Relay
Last years top two teams look to clash again for the 4x100m title. Albany, who finished second last year, has recorded the fastest time but is only a quarter of a second ahead of King City. The returning state champs finished .19 seconds behind Albany at sectionals this past weekend, but that could easily change. Valle Catholic could also be in the mix, as they have ran a 46.00, putting them second in the rankings.
4x200 Meter Relay
Albany could double up on the relay victories if all goes well. Their 1:35.27 puts them just under a second slower than Chaffee’s 1:34.39. Another team to look out for is Stanberry, the defending state champs in this event. They beat the Warriors from Albany this past weekend at Class 1 Sectional 4. Other teams to watch are Concordia and Wellington-Napoleon, and Stanberry.
4x400 Meter Relay
With four teams within 2 seconds, this race could be won by a multitude of teams. Valle Catholic leads so far this season with a 3:36.90 but Wellington-Napoleon, Chaffee, and Concordia all are close behind. Stanberry, who return two from their state winning 4x400m last year won their sectional putting them among the best in Class 1.
