Three St. Louis area athletes will be racing this weekend at the prestigious Adidas Grand Prix.  As part of the Adidas Golden Stripes program, a high school Dream 100 and Dream Mile will bring an invited list of athletes to New York City to compete.  Selected to attend this year's event are Hazelwood East senior Tianna Valentine ,  Nernix Hall junior Peyton Chaney, and Westminster Christian senior Daniel Everett.  Valentine and Chaney are two of nine athletes chosen from across the nation to compete in the Dream 100 and Everett will be one of fourteen competing in the boys Dream Mile which features US#1 marks in the 800, 1500, 1600, One Mile, 3200, 2 mile and 5k.

Chris Hollis the Race Director and Next Generation Manager for Adidas stated "The selection process of the Dream Mile and 100 is very demanding and it is a great compliment to the amount of talent in the St. Louis area to have so many athletes considered/invited.  We have no doubt that the athletes selected from Missouri are very capable of competing and will do special things in New York."

Emily Sisson, the lone Missouri participant in  2010, stated "It was an amazing experience. The race is important but just being part of the event  with all the great athletes from across the country who all share the same passion was an experience I'll never forget. I'm so happy for them."
