More warm temps made things difficult in Missouri this past week, but we still saw more amazing performances from some of the biggest meets of the season. Forest Park, Ray-Pec, Stan Nelson, Father Tolton, Olathe Twilight, they all produced top times and impressive victories from several of the state's best teams.
Each Monday this season, we will be running a poll with five candidates for Performer of the Week that was, highlighting five athletes from around the state who did something amazing in the last seven days. Vote for who you think deserves the honor!
Polls open at 9:00am on Monday and remain open until 5:00pm on Friday. The athlete who wins will move to our end-of-the-season "Performer of the Year" poll and will not be nominated again for the weekly poll for the rest of the season. Athletes who were nominated and do not win will not be eligible to be nominated for one full week.

Angelina Cottone was the winner at her home invitational on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, running 19:53.57 and outkicking her teammate Ellie Lucas down the final straightaway.

Farmington's Alexis Cassimatis picked up her first career cross country victory at the Arcadia Valley Invitational, running 19:57.04.

Emery Spencer - Joplin
Joplin's Emery Spencer is having quite the freshman year already as she 39 seconds from the Richard Clark Invitational to friday night's Queen City After Dark. She won in 18:38.00.

Tessa Perdue - Liberty
Tessa Perdue was the top Missourian at the Olathe Twilight with an 18:14.20 personal best for third overall.
