Deep fields feature 27 athletes ranked top 3 in nation, including 11 at #1

Westminster Christian Academy senior Daniel Everett passed by Icahn Stadium on a recent trip to Columbia University, where he will be attending college in the fall. Everett and two other St. Louis area track standouts hope to be performing inside the 12,000-seat stadium at Randall's  Island in New York City on June 11.

NEW YORK CITY (April 27, 2011) – Eleven high school track stars, including eight who have run fast enough to currently be ranked among the Top 3 in the country at distances ranging from 100 meters to 3200 meters, have been added to the fields for the High School Dream Mile and Dream 100 at the adidas Grand Prix on June 11, meet organizers and adidas have announced.

A cold windy day sent many home early at the Cory Siebert Invitational in Fenton today.  Those who stayed saw Rockwood Summit's own Dan Mazar battle Westminster Christian's Daniel Everett in an epic fight to the finish.  Everett edged Mazar by just  5 /100 of a second 4:19.08 to 4:19.13. This Saturday in frigid Wisconsin 10 boys and girls will look to qualify for the Foot Locker Cross Country Championship in San Diego. Missouri MileSplit's David Everett takes a look at the top contenders starting with the boys.

  Daniel Everett of Westminster and Alyssa Rebecca of Eureka won the varsity division races at Queeny Park on Friday.  Rebecca's victory help propel the Eureka girls to victory while the boys from O'Fallon Illinois cruised to the team title.
