Any athlete that runs in an open event on Friday cannot run in the same event on Saturday. If you run 2 kids in an event on Friday you cannot turn around and run 2 more in the same event on Saturday. Friday open events are in place for opportunities for athletes that are not ready for the Saturday high level competition or do not meet the cutoff. All events on Friday count as an event. Friday High School RELAY event winners in the 4x1600 and DMR will get the same t-shirt as those relays running on Saturday. Open events will only be awarded for high school on Saturday.
We are looking for the upper level kids to be entered in the middle school show case events.
If you plan on attending, having kids participate in Friday’s session of the meet, contact John Crites by email johnjacob775@hotmail.com with any questions.

Coaches, when you put your entries in you get two in all open events…two relay. The Open 1600 will be run at 9:05 am open to any distant runners. Enter your two 1600 people and that is all you need to enter; everyone else we will heat up on Saturday. The open 1600 will not be FAT timed. Coaches will be responsible for their own times in the open 1600. The top 32 times on the performance will be entered in the 1600/3200 and will run at the regular slated meet time. OPEN 1600 will go off at 9:05 am. Please use legit times from this year or last. At the scratch meeting at 8:30 am, we will do scratches for the 1600 and 3200 first. If any athletes scratch, we will allow the next person on the performance list in the race only in the 1600 and 3200.
Again, we will try to save time where we can and not be too restricting. We will not run an extra heat for 1 or 2 people in the longer races. This is a very competitive Varsity Track meet. Please do not just throw kids in an event; it will lengthen the event and force us to have cutoff times. Please do not put an athlete that is not a distance runner in the open 1600.
******Example: if there are 41 entered in the 400, we will run 5 heats; runner 41 will not be entered. ******
We are only running the top 32 people in the 1600 and 3200 and only the top 20 pole vaulters and high jumpers will compete.
We will be throwing the top flighted throwers first. Top seeded throwers heat will throw first.
