2018 MAAA VARSITY CONFERENCE TRACK MEET
To: MAAA Track Coaches and Athletic Directors
Information for the 2018 MAAA Varsity Conference Track Meet, hosted by Central High School
1. Date and Starting Times: Friday April 27, 2018
2. Entries/Coaches Meeting: Make your entries at momilesplit by Friday April 27th 8:59 a. m.
Each team is allowed 2 individuals per event and one relay team.
3. Timing: Provided by Central High Timing System.
4. Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in all events. A plaque will be awarded to the first place
Boys and Girls school.
5. Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 (all events)
7. Field Events: 3:30 P.M. JAVELIN ONLY: 3:30 p.m. (girls followed by boys)
4:00 P.M. All field events begin
*Shot Put and Discus will begin at the conclusion of the javelin
6. Running Events: Begin at 5:30 p.m. girls followed by boys (No Prelims)
8. Track Information: Spikes should be no longer than 3/16-inch needle.
9. Starters: Kevin Ellis and Jon Bach
10. Concessions: There will be a concession stand available.
11. Games Committee: All Head Coaches not involved with the issue.
3:30 p.m. Javelin (Athletes will be given 4 attempts cafeteria style)
4:00 p.m. Start of Field Events (Athletes will be given 4 attempts in Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus)
Boys Pole Vault followed by the girls
Girls High Jump followed by the boys
Boys and Girls Triple Jump
Boys and Girls Long Jump
*At the conclusion of the javelin
Boys Shot Put followed by the girls
Girls Discus followed by the boys
All running events will be girls followed by the boys
