THIS IS A VIRTUAL MEET!!

Per MSHSAA, competing in this meet counts towards one of your season meets and needs to go on your season schedule.

Rules

1. In order to make the experience equal for all teams, races are to be run on a standard track (no spikes). Runners must remain on the track at all times during the race (no running on the interior grass/turf).

2. There will be 6 divisions - Boys Varsity, Girls Varsity, Boys Junior Varsity, Girls Junior Varsity, Boys Middle School, Girls Middle School.

3. Only 7 runners may be entered in the Varsity races. JV and MS races have unlimited entries. Rosters must be submitted by 8:00 PM on Friday, September 18th. Entries will be made public on or before Friday, September 18th.

The 6 races can be conducted all at once, by gender, by level, or separately. Individual races can also have staggered starts if social distancing is a concern. As long as accurate time is kept for each runner, race order/combining races will not be a factor.

4. The race must take place on the morning of September 19th.

5. Varsity and JV athletes will complete 12 consecutive laps (3 miles) and their time recorded via stopwatch or timing system to the nearest second. MS runners will complete 8 consecutive laps (2 miles).

6. Results must be submitted no later than 2:00 PM on the day of the race. Results should be entered neatly into a spreadsheet (last name, first name, B/G MS/JV/V, time) and submitted to egabel@kirksville.k12.mo.us. Be sure that you have typed in times accurately before submitting.

7. Race results will be emailed to coaches and posted no later than 8:00 PM the evening of the 19th.

8. Honesty and integrity is expected from all teams!

In lieu of physical awards, coaches will receive printable certificates for team champions and individual medalists. Certificates will be issued to the top 20 varsity runners, top 10 JV/MS runners, and top overall varsity team of each gender.
