Other Details:
Middle school will run a 3000 meter race, while high school runs a full 5k.
This event takes place on the beautiful Gans Creek Course, with plenty of great viewpoints from which to watch the race.
Entry Fees - Each middle school team (boys & girls are separate teams) is $100 per team
-Each high school team (boys & girls are separate teams) is $150 per team
OR individual runners are $25 per runner
JV runners included at no additional charge for teams with full varsity rosters

1. Packet Pickup will be available starting at 9am at Gans on the sidewalk near the athlete village area.
2. ONLY 7 runners in varsity races. Please only plan on running 7 runners in each varsity race, with the rest of your runners competing in the combined JV Race. JV is unlimited for each team. I talked to our timing people, and even if they weren't switched to the JV race on MO Mileslit, they can run in it.
3. Adjustment to awards time: ALL awards will be given at 12:45. We made this adjustment so we aren't giving team awards out at the same time that high school races are happening, since almost everyone bringing Middle School runners has High School Runners as well.
4. MEDALS - Given to top ten in each MS Race. Top 15 in each Varsity Race. 1st Place Team medals for MS and Varsity. JV race does not have awards.
5. PARKING - BUS parking will be available at Gans Creek in the SOUTH LOT (closest to the course). Van/car parking will be available in the NORTH LOT (by the park bathrooms). Both lots are accessible by the same entrance to the park at 3350 E Gans Rd, Columbia, MO 65201.

MS will run the outer loop only - 3000 Meters. High school runs the inner loop, then the outer loop for a full 5k.
7. Team Tents can be set up in the flat area to the North of the course (the same as at the Gans Creek Classic and at state. PLEASE DO NOT USE TENT STAKES, as there are sprinklers and underground lines in that area. Please pick up all trash.
8. Restrooms are located off of the North Parking lot.
9. TWO COACHES MEETINGS - 9:40am (for the early schools who have middle school runners) and 10:40am (for high school runners). Feel free to come to either or both.
10. Payment - Please bring a check to the meet if you haven't paid. Payment details are below.
11. Special Recognition - This meet is named in honor of Brian Simpson, who was the founding coach of Harrisburg Cross Country. Brian's daughter will be running in the middle school race, and his family will be in attendance. At the start of the Varsity awards, we plan to present Brian's wife Jennie with a meet medal as a way to honor his memory and family.
