Meet Information
Thank you for choosing to attend our Fourth Annual Ellington
Cross Country Meet 2021!This year's
race will be held Wednesday, September 29th at Ellington high school campus
with the start and finish lines located in the front parking lot of the high
school.The course will consist of a 2-lap
format for the varsity races, a 2-abreviated lap (2 mile) junior high course, and
new for this year, a 1-abreviated lap (1 mile) elementary race with a
mixture of pavement, gravel, and grass. The
course will be similar to last year if you attended. Our grounds crew have kept the mowing of the
course current again over the summer, making for a much better grass-base for
the hilly portion of the course. The course is very hilly, but does gives the
runners a variety of challenges .A
large part of our course still involves private property which local owners
have graciously allowed us to utilize. Please help us to keep it clean and ask your runners and spectators to
avoid cutting through neighboring homes' yards and the local cemetery located
along one side of a portion of the course.
We also ask your bus drivers to park along the playground
located on the west side of the old gym as you first come to campus. This should give your runners easy access to
the start/finish line from your buses and should help to keep campus congestion
to a minimum.Concessions will be
available for purchase in the commons area of the Gym. Tents can be set up in
the grassy area in front of the school if you choose to do so.We ask that you continue to be mindful
of social distancing guidelines and encourage your fans/athletes to do so as
much as possible.
Timing will be handled by ActNow Promotions.Registration can be done on the Mo.Mile split
website similar to many other meets so far this season. Please register your athletes in a timely
fashion to help avoid any delays created on race day.
