De Soto Junior High Open Track and Field Meet

Date: Tuesday, March 22nd 2022

Site: J.C. Culwell Stadium at De Soto High School

Entry Fee: NONE

Time Schedule: 3:45 Coaches Meeting

4:00 PM - All Field and Running Events

Awards/Scoring: No score will be kept and no medals will be awarded

Timing: Championship Timing

Surface: 8 lane rubberized track. We allow 3/16" and below spikes on the track and runways. No tape is allowed on track and runways

Entries: Entries will be unlimited and need to be put into mo.milesplit.com for lane assignments. Relays will be limited to 2 per school per gender. Entry deadline March 21st @ 6:00 PM

Field Events: Shot put and Discus

Each athlete will have four consecutive attempts. Only the best throw will be recorded.

Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault and High Jump

Each athlete will have three attempts per height. There will be no starting height requirement

All jumps will be cafeteria style

Miscellaneous: Bathrooms available, however; we do not have locker rooms available. There will be a 

concession stand open with drinks, snacks, and food. There will be an area for tents on the practice field west of the stadium. The turf field will be used as a warm up area.

No gum, sunflower seeds, or food is allowed on the turf. A meal ticket will be issued to coaches to be redeemed at the concession stand.

Bus Parking: Please refer to the map on the last page for bus parking. We have recently renovated 

our parking lots and buses will not be parking on St. Louis street until after 3:00 PM once our school is dismissed and students have left campus.

Trainer: A trainer from Hillsboro Sports Medicine will be present

Participating Teams: De Soto Junior High, Farmington Middle School, Festus Middle School, Hillsboro Junior High, Perryville Middle School, and Potosi Middle School
