Pole Vault STL Invitational 2022

7/28/22 UPDATE: Schedule Update/Divisions/Order.  Timeline is estimate. We may start early or could be delayed.  3 "competitions" being run.  We will be utilizing Pit 2 (Blue pit) for warm ups while others are competing.

Registration: 8:30 and after.

Session A: Boys and Girls with under 10ft PR.  Grady, Ellis, Hunter, Josie, Jenna, Ella, Delaynie & Renee.  This session will start warm ups around 8:45 a.m.  Plan to start competition at 9:30 a.m. or earlier if all are ready.

Sessions B - Boys (over 10' PR) and Open Men/Masters:  Warm UPs Begin at 10 am Blue Pit. You will get roughly 20-30 min to get jumps on Pit 1. Plan to start around 11 am or earlier.  Andrew, Clayton, William, Kannon, Avery, Joe, Ethan, Mason, Brayson, Jessie, Nick , Mayson & Brandon.  Starting Bar based on lowest seed.

Session C - Girls and Open Women:  Warm ups on Blue pit to begin when there are 6 athletes left or bar is around 12 ft. in Session B.  Going to be a plan accordingly situation, may be around Noon.  Upon completion of Session B, you will get 20 min on Pit 1.  Plan to start no later than 1:30, but can be earlier.  Molly, Linden, Sophia, Kylie, Abbey, Alaina, Tori, and Cat

We still could add a few more vaulters this week. We are doing this to use time wisely and have vaulters waiting around less.  Again, this is a tentative time schedule, so please be early. Weather looks great, so come earlier and stay after to support fellow vaulters:  Questions, please ask. 

All Levels Welcome: Middle School, High School, Open (college/post college), Masters. Male and Female Divisions. Novice Level will be a division*.

Time(s):  Tentative, the first comp will start at 9 a.m. The number of entries will determine who is first (male, females) and how we might break the event into Flights (i.e. Males below 12' & over 12"). This section will be updated around July 16th, with a final schedule on July 27th.  Weather forecast will also be considered.

Cost:  $40 Regular Registration before 7/27, $50 on site. All payments made through Paypal upon registration or (Venmo Chris Zoeller PV)or cash on site). Please Text Name and Shirt Size PRIOR to July 21st to 314 402-3030.

Additional Information:

  • Flights (if needed) & Opening Heights and Progressions Determined as entries come in.

  • 2 Kanstet Elevated Runways with VSS1 surface, Spikes Allowed (1/8"). 116' & 73'.  Both may be utilized for competition and/or warm ups.
  • Medals: Top 3 by divisions.  If flights occur, more may be given out.
  • What to bring: Water, chairs, pop-up canopy if desired, some shelter will be provided.  The pits and runways are in a parking lot on the side of the building.

  • Entries:  The entries that the public can see on MO Mile may not be all the entries. If numbers looks low, don't let that sway your decision.
  • Rain Date: July 31st.  Schedule would be the same, unless we need to accommodate some out of town guests and travel. 
  • Novice Jumpers: MS girls with 8' or below PR, MS Boys with 9' or below PR. Or a HS Athlete with no Official HS marks. Novice would jump together, both genders.
