3/28/2023 Putnam County High School Quad Meet - General Notes:
The entry deadline is noon on March 27 at https://mo.milesplit.com/login
Coaches Meeting 3:30 pm in the building on the north side of the track
Field Events start at 4:00- Teams have been assigned an event (see below)
Running events start at 5:00 (exchange zone judges- see below)
We have an all-weather track; only 1/8 pyramid spikes are allowed.
No entry fee.
No admission charged
No limit to entries for individual events. Limit of 2 per school on relays. Only 2 can place per school in any event.
Scoring Individual 6-4-3-2-1 Relays 6-4-2
No prelims; all running events are finals; four attempts in all field events
There will be a concession stand at the stadium building south of the field.
NO spikes are to be worn in the bleachers
Turf football field
No food, seeds, soda, sports drinks, or gum allowed. Water only
The team communities are to be located in the bleachers or outside the fence, with no camping on the field.
Restrooms are located in the stadium buildings north and south of the field.
No dressing facilities are available for the athletes other than restrooms.
Each team will furnish its own javelin, pole, shot, discus, and batons.
High jump starting heights will be determined at the coaches meeting. It will be raised in 5-cm increments. (Recommendations: 1.2 m/1.5 m)
Pole vault starting heights will be determined at the coaches meeting. It will be raised in 15-cm increments. (Recommendations: 2.1 m/2.4 m)
Long and triple jumps will be run cafeteria style with a one-hour time limit.
Starting blocks will be furnished.
We will have a javelin throw - location of event TBA on the day of the meet.
There will be a co-ed (minimum of 2 girls) 400m throwers relay. Participants in this event must be registered as throwers that day. Pizza for the winning team!
Please note the restricted areas. These include the football field and those areas marked around the field events. As a reminder, only those athletes participating in the event and meet officials are allowed in the restricted areas. Coaches, please note the designated coaches boxes. No parents, spectators, non-participants, or coaches will be permitted in these areas
