The Whirlwind Invitational High School Track Meet will be held April 15th, 2023
In accordance with MSHSAA we will be using MileSplit to set up our meet. To enter athletes into events go to mo.milesplit.com. Entries are due Monday, April 15th, at 9:00 AM. Since we are allowing entries up to the morning of the meet, please make scratches prior to finalizing entries, it is most helpful. Each school is allowed two entries in each event and one entry per relay event. Please remember to bring your $100.00 entry fee per gender or $10 per competitor.
3:30 ~ COACHES' MEETING ~ Will be held in the shed behind the north end of the grandstand.
4:00 ~ FIELD EVENTS ~ The horizontal jumps and throws will be 4 attempts with no finals. The Long and Triple Jumps will be run Cafeteria Style with 45 minutes to finish their attempts. The Shot, Disc, and Javelin will be flighted. We have volunteers to work most events, but we may need to coaches to cover some events.
4:45 ~ 4 X800 m Relay ~ Girls followed by boys (possibly together if less than 8 teams total)
~ TRACK EVENTS ~ No prelims, heats against time, fastest heat last, girls followed by boys.

FACILITIES
Dressing Facilities: NONE. Please come dressed for competition.
Track Facilities: 8 Lane International 400 meter all -weather track. No tape is allowed on the track or runways! We will have chalk at each runway. Our shot put ring and discus ring are located north of the track. We also have bleachers at our throwing areas for spectators. The javelin area is southeast of the track near the baseball diamond. The track is fenced and only competitors and coaches are allowed inside the fence.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
Spikes: 1/8 inch spikes only. Violators will be disqualified. Spikes are not to be worn in bleachers.
Timing: Our electronic timing system should be ready to use.
Starting Blocks: Provided.
Scoring: The scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
Results: Will be available online at mo.milesplit.com as soon as we upload them and they are published..
Medals: Will be awarded to the top three finishers.
Concessions: A concession stand will be open.
