5th Annual Marion County Invitational

DIVISION AND TIME SCHEDULE:
Coaches Meeting @ Finish Chute @ 3:45
JH girls race @ 4:00 p.m.
JH boys race @ 4:30 p.m..
HS girls race @ 5:00 p.m.
HS boys race @ 5:35 p.m.
Fun Run @ 6:10 p.m.
AWARDS @ 6:20 p.m.
ENTRIES: All rosters and entries should be submitted online via mo.MileSplit.com by 5:00 p.m. on Sun., October 6th.
SCORING/TIMING: MoFast Timing will score the meet and provide results. All finishers will be timed.
MEET RESULTS: Results will be published on MoMileSplit and announced shortly after the last race.
SCHOOL PACKETS: Packets containing meet supplies (numbers, pins, maps, etc.) will be prepared for each school and distributed upon arrival. Please pick up your team packets from the check-in area located near the Finish Line as soon as you arrive.
CONCESSIONS: There will be an open concession stand by the ball field.
EQUIPMENT: Competitors may wear either flat soled shoes or spikes. All competitors will be provided with an identification tag number to be pinned to their jersey.
BUSES: Buses will park across the street next to the RED bus barn. NO cars will be allowed in this lot.
THE START: Starting positions will be marked on the outside of the packet. A warning shot will be sounded 5 minutes prior to the start of each race. It is the responsibility of each runner to be on the starting line and ready to run at the designated starting time. ***If there is a chance of inclement weather the day of the race, we will use a rolling schedule.
LANE ASSIGNMENT: We will issue lane assignments on the packets that the coaches receive upon arrival.
THE RUN: The course will be 5k in length for HS. The course will be approximately 2.5k for JH. The course is marked with white paint and cones.
THE FINISH: There will be a single chute at the finish. Runners must stay on their feet and move through as fast as possible. If a jam- up occurs, the runners shall place their right hand on the shoulder of the runner in front keeping as close to him as possible.
SCORING: The official scores will be determined by tag system from the runners bib numbers.
ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Varsity Boys & Girls will be allowed 7 entries, JV Boys & Girls and Jr. High Boys & Girls are unlimited. Only the teams top 7 will count for the purpose of a Team Score and for medaling purposes.
ENTRY FEE OPTIONS:
$160 per school (covers both JH & HS for Boys & Girls)
$40 per team (unlimited entries)
$10 per individual runner if less than a full team of 5

AWARDS: Ceremony will be held by the concessions stand @ 6:15 p.m.
Top 15 will receive medals; HS and JH
Winning Team in each division will earn a plaque
