  Entries are due no later than Monday, April 21st at 9 am.  If you have any problems just email Coach timh@straffordschools.net

Scratches and Changes - Coaches can manage their roster until Monday, April 21st 

The entry fee is $150.00 for each school ($75 boys $75 girls),or $15.00 per athlete (under ten - participants).  Make all checks payable to Strafford High School.  Please bring a copy of the PO#/check before the meet. Checks must be turned in to Coach Hester before your team can participate in the track meet.

1. There will be a coaches scratch meeting at 3:00 p.m.  This will be the last opportunity to scratch.  You will NOT be allowed to add runners.

2. Each school will be allowed two (2) entries in all events

 3.  Participants are limited to any four (4) events.  Each school may enter only one relay team per event.

 4.  Field events will begin at 3:45 p.m.  except Javelin, which will begin promptly at 3:20 p.m.  The running event finals will begin at 4:00 p.m. Due to sharing the field, Javelin and Discus will have a Minimum mark after 1st legal mark is made. ( Boys Javelin- 32 meters / Girls Javelin- 25 meters / Boys Discus- 24 meters / Girls Discus 22 meters )  There will be no prelims; all heats will be run against time with the fast heat first.

 5.  Fill out the entry sheets.  Be sure to give a time.  If no time is given we will place the runner in a slow heat.

 6.  The long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus will be run cafeteria-style.  Participants will have one hour and 30 minutes to complete their jumps/throws.   Each participant will be allowed three throws or jumps.  NO FINALS.  Three attempts at each height in the pole vault and high jump.

 7.  We will score six positions, with scoring being 10-8-6-4-2-1.

 8.  A team plaque will be awarded to the first-place team in both the girls and boys divisions.  Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers.

 9.  Only 1/8-inch spikes will be allowed on the track.  Failure to adhere to this rule will result in disqualification.  NO SPIKES IN THE BLEACHERS OR THE GYMNASIUM LOBBY!

 10.   Any athlete not participating in an event will not be allowed on the infield, or at the start/finish line.  PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES, PLEASE STAY IN THE TENT CITY.  

 11.  Starting blocks will be furnished.  

 12.  Participants are to stay in the tent city when they are not in an event.  Participants are NOT allowed on the football field.  Warm-ups may be taken on the back straight when not in use.  Participants are to stay out of the gym.  The restrooms are located just West of the track. 

13.   The Strafford Booster Club will operate a concession stand during the meet.

 14.  Coaches and parents may watch field events from designated areas.

 15.  Participants are urged to arrive in their running clothes.  Our restrooms at the track will be open but it is not a large area for an entire team to change.

 16. Updates to Field: pole vault-south side of football field. Long Jump/Triple Jump will be on the east side of the field. 

  

 We will make every effort to move the meet along in a timely fashion.
