Delbert Best Invitational Track Meet
April 15, 2025
Teams: Concordia, St, Paul, Sweet Springs, Santa Fe, Crest Ridge, Hardin-Central, Norborne, Braymer, KC Lutheran, Hogan Prep, Odessa JV, Wellington-Napoleon, Orrick
Time: Scratch meeting will be held at 3:45 by the concession stand. This will be a scratch only, no substitutions. We are using the Black Squirrel Timing System.
Entries: Two athletes per running, and field events. One relay team per school.
Entry Fee: $175
Deadline: Entries are due by 10:00 am on Monday, April 14th. Enter entries online @ momilesplit.com
Equipment: spikes are to be used for all field and running events. Starting blocks will be provided. No tape on the track or runways.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top four finishers in individual and relay events. Plaques will be awarded to the 1st Place team finishers in both girls and boys divisions.
Scoring: Eight places will be scored 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 in all events.
Bullpen: The bullpen will be located in the middle of the football field.
Hydration Station: HCC will be providing a medical unit for the meet. They will have Medical Personnel, and water to pass out as needed.
Finals: We will not run prelims. We will run finals only.
Trials: The Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Javelin will be run cafeteria style with 3 jumps and 3 throws. You will have 1 hour to complete their jumps and throws. Discus, and Shot Put will be set up in flights with 3 throws each. No finals.
Conduct: Coaches, contestants, and other personnel are not allowed at the finish
line.

Meal Tickets will be provided to each school.
Again this year we are fortunate to be using Odessas all-weather track facility. Please use only 1/8 spikes on all surfaces. Please set up camps either in the bleachers, or in the grass outside the fence. Coaches and workers will be the only people allowed inside the fence.

Javelin - cafeteria style 1 hour to complete
Long Jump - boys/girls
Triple Jump - girls/boys
High Jump - boys/girls
Discus - boys/girls
Shot Put - girls/boys
Pole Vault - girls/boys
Shot Put/Discus/Javelin - we will measure everyones 1st throw and the next two if they do not throw past the mark we will not measure them.
4:00 pm: Running events
We will run the 4 x 800 relay followed by the 100 and 110 Hurdles and as we are moving the Hurdles off of the track we will do our W-N Senior Recognition.
We may need assistance running some field events, and will need help working exchange zones. Assigned schools will be responsible for a flight of hurdles for each of the hurdle events.
