Saxony Larry Cleair Last Chance Open 2025

Tuesday April 29th

Location: Saxony Lutheran High School on the world-famous Larry

Cleair Track.

Coaches meeting     3:45pm     Middle of the soccer field

Field Events start (if a field events ends much earlier than 5pm we will move on to the other gender earlier)

  3:30pm  Boys: Javelin, Shot, Pole vault            5pm Boys: Discus, High Jump

                 Girls:  Discus, High Jump                             Girls:  Shot, Javelin, Pole Vault

 TJ will be the first boy on one run way and girls on the other.

Long Jump will begin at 5pm again for both 



genders you have from 3:30-5:30(two runways)

Throwing events will be 3 throws, 2 and 1 the furthest

will be measured or all 3 at once(still furthest mark measured) 

While this is an open I do try to create seeded heats for races,

so I will ask that you sign your athletes up on momile when our meet become

active which should be  available until the 28^that 7pm. 

There will be no limitation on how many you may enter per event with the exception of shot put and discus.

I have it set to 5 per gender per school. If number look low when we get close I will open up more spots for more throwers.

Because of the work of building heats and also the rapid turnaround

of getting them entered by hand to be used for district seed times, I am going

to ask for $50 per school.  Checks can be made to SAXONY LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL

May need volunteers or coaches to help with

timing of races. Will assign relay exchanges at coaches meeting.

Bullpen will be behind the soccer goal on the

East(scoreboard end of the track)

Bus entry and parking-   Buses please pull into the first drive(gravel) and

park along the west side of the school. With school in session and a crowded parking lot there won't be a nice drop off point near the track. It will be a short trek to the track from the west side of the school.

Tents can be set up outside the fence on the

south side between the shot and discus areas. Or on the hill above the Javelin runway.

Warm up areas will be limited due to all of the construction going on around the track facility.

If we have wet conditions, we will need to

stay off of the soccer field as much as possible. (lots of work has been put

into that field).

Will have concessions available (granola bars,

candy, fruit and water/Gatorade)
