Parkway Central High School sophomore Gabrielle Moresi talks after her victory at the St. Louis Suburban Public High School Athletics and Activities Association Cross Country Championships at McNair Park in St. Charles where she not only took 1st in the Green Pool, where she led her Colts to the team title, but she took the overall title in 18:41 with a come-from-behind win over-taking Eureka senior Daphne Bishop in the final 300-400 meters.
The sophomore only began running as a freshman, so just over a year ago, though she has been watching her big brother Alexander Moresi run for the last 4 years for the Colts, where he earned All-State Honors a year ago as a junior. Gabrielle just missed as a freshman with an impressive 37th-place finish in the 2023 Class 4 state race. Gabrielle also has a twin sister.
