Henderson is one of the fastest girls in the state in general across all distances and was about 250 meters away from her first state title in cross country this season but fell and walked across the line in 156th. This should provide plenty of motivation for Henderson, an 18:24 5K harrier, to get back into racing and seek out a state title this spring. She ran 5:10 for 4th in the 1600 and 11:19 for 2nd this spring and will have to track down one of the best distance runners in state history in order to grab the win this track season, but crazier things have happened, as we saw this fall.
